Today you leave Cairo and follow the Exodus route. You cross the Suez Canal. It is a truly a moving experience to stand at the possible location where the Red Sea parted (Insight vol 1 p 780-783). You stop at possible sites where the Israelites camped. (“See the Good Land” page 9). Arrive at Mount Sinai. Experience the glorious sunset followed by a panoramic array of stars across the night’s sky. Your hotel is situated at the foothills of Mount Sinai known as “Wadi El Raha” meaning “Plain of Rest”. Sailing on the beautiful Sea of Galilee, in a wooden boat similar to the fishing boats in Jesus’ time, is an experience you long remember. You visit Capernaum, (Jesus’ “own city”) and her synagogue and the likely spot of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Afternoon free.
