British Museum information: British Museum, British Library, Greenwich Observatory, & London Tours
When are the tours conducted?
Every Saturday and some Bank Holidays. Midweek arrangements for congregations only if visiting Bethel (groups only).
How many tours can you have in one day?
No more than two British Museum tours in one day. If you are coming as a congregation in your own coach you may wish to combine one British Museum tour with one London Tour. You may also combine a tour of the Royal Observatory with either a tour of the British Museum or British Library.
Group Booking
How large can each group be?
Not less than 15 adults. If less, book as individual visitors.
Individual visitors booking
I am coming on my own - can I go on a tour?
You will need to pre-book.
Which tour?
Unlike congregations' bookings, visitors cannot select the tour of their choice, as it is impossible to please all Visitors' requests in one group. However, at the Museum, you may tell the Organiser which tour you may have had in the past and depending on circumstances, the Organiser and the Guide may possibly arrange the tour of your choice but this is not guaranteed.
Where to meet
Enter through the main entrance on Great Russell Street and go through from the lobby into the Great Court. Immediately to the left, is the statue of a colossal Marble lion. Meet our Organizer wearing a Meander Bible Tours Badge.

Who are the Guides?
The team consists of elders and sisters, most of whom are regular pioneers. All the guides are happy to give their voluntary, unpaid service to their brothers and interested persons. Whoever your guide is, you will be shown the same exhibits, be quoted the same scriptures and receive the same information derived from God's Word and Gods organizations publication's. Their expressions show a deep love and devotion to Jehovah and loyalty to his organization.
REQUIREMENTS
DRESS should be the same as when attending meetings or visiting Bethel. You need to bring your Bible. You are NOT ALLOWED TO EAT OR DRINK inside the Galleries. Packed lunches can be taken in designated areas. There are two restaurants and two cafeterias inside the Museum. The British Museum, British Library and Royal Observatory are international public places and bad appearance reflect upon Jehovah's name and his organization.
A LAPEL BADGE OR LANYARD will be supplied which should be worn throughout the tours. Please pay the organizer an additional GBP5.00 should you wish to keep your lanyard.
How can you organize a party?
Telephone, fax, book online or write informing us of the number in your party. We can then arrange a mutually convenient date and time for your tours. ON RECEIPT OF YOUR WRITTEN CONFIRMATION we will confirm the booking. 2-3 days before your visit, please telephone to confirm the final arrangements.
Am I allowed to photograph, video or tape the commentary?
Photographs (using a flash) are permitted within the Museum, tripods are not permitted. You can tape or video the commentary provided it is for personal use only and you do so inconspicuously, not obstructing your guide or others behind you.
